FAQ’s
What are your rates?
My rates are fully dependent on the project and the amount of work involved. Factors could include location, complexity of the shoot and edits, and also whether or not the final images are for personal or commercial use (licensing fees apply). My absolute minimum to show up for any shoot is $300, but keep in mind that won’t get you many final images.
What is your “niche”?
I prefer to work with people in a creative format, so portraits would likely be my answer to this question. That being said I just enjoy shooting work that inspires me and evokes emotion. My goal is to create timeless work.
Do you travel for shoots?
I am open to traveling for shoots, especially Colorado and Southern California. Keep in mind if I’m traveling these costs will be included in the cost of the project unless I’m planning to be in a specific area and I am booking multiple shoots.
Why do you require a deposit?
The fact of the matter is I have been burned, as well as many other professionals I know in this industry. Requiring a deposit allows me to continue to operate in the most professional and efficient way possible. This confirms your date as well as allows me to book any necessary studios or other services, etc.
What if I need to cancel?
In the case of cancellation I need at least a 48 hour notice unless it’s an emergency situation. We will work to reschedule your shoot for a better time and date. If we can’t reach an agreement on a reschedule I will refund your deposit minus the cost of any non-refundable studio/gear rental costs.
Will you work for free/trade/social media exposure….etc?
Simple answer. No. The only trade I will consider is for concert tickets and tattoos. I’m mostly joking, but also kinda serious. The only time this might be different is if I’m reaching out to friends and family for my own branding/marketing shoots, but even then I would prefer to pay models for their work. We all have bills to pay.
How do you deliver your final gallery?
I currently use Pixieset to deliver my final client galleries. For larger commercial projects we can negotiate file handling and delivery.
Will you post my photos on your social media?
While I prefer to be able to share the work I’m doing and excited about for my own marketing purposes, I will typically ask if there are any photos you are uncomfortable with sharing. I will only post family photos with children in them with the expressed consent of the parents or guardians and we will discuss this with you before doing so.
